Table top photography can be the a great deal of fun.  It doesn't require the weather to be just so, and you do not need a model.  All you really need is a space and some imagination.  It's great fun to imagine what the final images is going to look like, create a set or set ups, consider your digital alterations after capture to bring to life that image in your minds eye.

It is amazing at what you can create with what you happen to have laying around the house, if you let yourself mind go.  It's great fun an one can get a great deal of satisfaction when one sees the image on the wall that exacty matches the image they set out to create.
